Introducing Joe Mollberg
Forever teaching and learning. Education professional. teaching in Frazee, Minnesota while living in Detroit Lakes with my wife Kayli, daughter Jadyn and son Jett. As she pursues her career in physical therapy at Sanford in DL, I am located just south working Frazee ISD 23 teaching 6th grade. In 2021 I obtained my masters in educational leadership through Minnesota State University in Moorhead. I am currently focusing on my principal administrative license and being active in my practicum field hours! Kayli and I are extatic to welcome our 3rd child into the world this June! We look forward to a wonderful summer at our new home in Detroit Lakes. Baby joins his big sister Jadyn Kay who will be 4 and his big brother Jett Joseph who will be 2. Our beautiful kids keep us on our toes and entertained every minute of the day!

Abstract
In this portfolio I illustrate my story.  My professional history with leadership and education. The skills and competencies I have acquired during my experiences. These skills include time management, perseverance, compassion and dedication towards the profession of teaching and learning. I have developed great relationships in all of my life experiences. With the help of those around me and relying on my knowledge and key experiences, I am determined to be the best leader and educator I possibly can be!

About Me
I am a 2017 graduate of the University of North Dakota and played football competitively for the University while gaining my degree in elementary education. I spent my first two years in education teaching and coaching in Frazee, Minnesota. Just down the road from my home of Detroit Lakes.
October 12th, 2019- My wife and I took the leap into marriage and set out to work and live in the San Fransisco Bay Area of California. As Kayli practiced PT, I had the opportunity to coach, substitute teach and begin my masters. Due to COVID-19 we made the move to our home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Shortly after a wonderful summer of working and playing in our home town, we landed jobs forty-five minutes down the road in Battle Lake, Minnesota. 4 years, 1 home and 2 children later I am well into my 4th year of teaching experience at Battle Lake, ISD 542. Currently I am serving as the 4th grade teacher as well as some strength training for high school. I am involved in a variety of coaching positions and teacher leadership groups. We love our life and little town of Battle Lake.

My Experience
September 2017-Current
Teacher
I had an amazing experience teaching 3rd grade in Frazee, Minnesota for two years. I had the daily duties of homeroom teacher, as well as being part of the math curriculum team and STEM development team. After my brief subbing stint in Oakland, I am currently acting as the 4th grade teacher and head of strength and conditioning at Battle Lake. in 2020 I acted as the liaison for the school's virtual academy while serving as the schools K-12 full-time substitute.
2017-Current
Coaching
I was part of two coaching staffs during my time in Frazee. I coached football, helping with the varsity quarterbacks and the passing offense. I also coached basketball, being the assistant varsity coach and coaching the JV boys. While living in Oakland during the winter of 2020, I coached 8th grade boys basketball in Piedmont in the East Bay. Currently I coach varsity football, junior high boys and girls basketball and summer speed and strength in Battle Lake.
2016-Current
Service Industry
My first experience came in Grand Forks, North Dakota towards the end of my undergrad. I worked for Rhombus Guys Brewing Company. While living in the Detroit Lakes area I worked as a bartender and server at Lakeside Tavern and Brewery from 2017-2019. Most recently, I have been bartending part time at the Rusty Nail in Battle Lake, Minnesota.
